Only Amiga Makes It Possible!

In the late 1980s to early 1990s, Commodore introduced an alternative logo for the Amiga brand. According to available sources, this redesigned mark was used primarily on Amiga 500 packaging in North America and appeared also in a number of Commodore’s print advertisements of the period.

The new logo was likely an attempt to give the Amiga a more contemporary, early-’90s visual identity. However, it never achieved the same level of acceptance as the original, now-iconic design. Its limited adoption may have played a role: the logo was largely confined to marketing materials and packaging, while the machines themselves continued to feature the classic Garamond-font based AMIGA logo. This disconnect between branding and product arguably didn’t help the new identity from ever fully taking hold.
