In the August 1992 issue of Amiga World, Lou Wallace published an article about building a true “Ultimate Amiga.” The Amiga 3000T released in the US in fall 1991 was the obvious platform of choice, thanks to its serious expandability and its talent for hosting a ridiculous number of upgrades.
Wallace didn’t hold back. He packed his 3000T with an super expensive list of expansions: a 68040 accelerator, expanded RAM, an RTG graphics card, a SCSI hard disk, an optical drive, removable storage, a sound card, extra serial ports, and even a fax/modem. The total reached north of the $20K mark. No wonder readers were drooling!
The article opens with a gorgeous, vibrant photo composition by Edward Judice, with the Amiga 3000T taking center stage. That image grabbed me the first time I saw it and right then I knew I wanted to recreate it someday.
That day has finally arrived. So enjoy the Ultimate Amiga recreated poster, starring none other than the elusive A3000T in all its tower-mounted glory!
